Loving The Entrepreneur Inside

{Heart by papermoth}

 Love, love, love!

There is so much to love in our creative, small business community. So much to adore, admire, and cherish. From tweets filled with encouragement to blog posts shining the light of others, there’s a lot of lovin’ going on!

Sometimes, though, we forget to love ourselves.

For February, the month of Cupid and chocolate hearts, I challenge myself and others to save some of that loving goodness for ourselves.

Let’s take time and really appreciate the creative entrepreneur within us. The go-getter who can be sometimes harsh, critical, defeated. The one who works endlessly, constantly pursuing big ‘ol dreams. The thinker + maker + do it all-er. You.

It’s time to love the creative entrepreneur in you:

Write a love letter…to yourself.

Include everything you admire and respect about who you are – not who you hope to be.

Rekindle the flame.

Remember what drives your passion. If you don’t know, find it.

Take a creative vacation.

Maybe it’s a weekend, a day, or an hour. Carve out time to get away.

Celebrate.

Look back and identify something you’ve achieved that is celebration worthy. Big or small, break out the confetti and enjoy your moment of glory.

Give yourself a hug.

You work hard. You need it.

Ask for a hug.

You work hard. You need it.

Honor your creative space.

Whether it’s a studio or a corner of the dining room, do a little something to honor where the creative magic happens.

So many ways to love.

How will you love the creative entrepreneur within you?

Great post. I am trying to bemore “upfront” and tell my friends things I achieve and share some of my makes with them rather than hiding it away!

Excellent point Dotty! Honoring ourselves as entrepreneurs often means being confident in our dreams & plans to express them to others. Share and celebrate away!

Giving myself some down time to collect my thoughts, do something for me and taking a break from the computer 24/7 has reinvigorated me. I feel confident that I’m on the right path. That is huge for me.
